Sculpture Study in Oil by Zirngibl Sculpture Study in Oil by Zirngibl
A fairly quick exercise in oil of a Jon Foster sculpture. I really want to work on using thick paint and chiseled strokes, and control my values in that way.

Such a kinetic interpretation, for a sculpture. Did you use a palette knife for those harsh strokes?

Awesome values! Using thick strokes really forces to think. I notice some very delicate and focusing gradients. I can't believe it is traditional though, those blur accents suggest digital medium, but I guess it is just Painter, which mimics too realistically traditional mediums. Good luck with next studies! Would you mind sharing critique you received for this one? Looks A to me.
